Solar Development Manager

We are seeking a highly driven Solar Development Manager to lead the origination, structuring, and execution of solar energy solutions across a rapidly growing data center portfolio.

This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, project development, and energy markets. You will be responsible for identifying and securing solar opportunities, negotiating agreements, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders to accelerate deployment timelines., * Leading solar development strategy across multiple U.S. markets, from initial site engagement through to executed agreements

• Originating and managing relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, and behind-the-meter energy partners
• Structuring and negotiating solar PPAs, offtake agreements, and retail power arrangements
• Supporting site selection by assessing solar resource, land constraints, and development feasibility
• Engaging with interconnection processes, regulatory frameworks, and policy environments to shape project outcomes
• Coordinating cross-functional workstreams across development, engineering, construction, finance, and operations
• Conducting scenario analysis to optimise contract structures, timelines, and capacity delivery
• Providing clear, data-driven insights to leadership on portfolio performance and development progress

• Experience in solar or renewable energy development, ideally within utility-scale or behind-the-meter projects
• Proven track record negotiating PPAs, energy contracts, or commercial agreements
• Strong understanding of U.S. power markets, interconnection processes, and regulatory frameworks
• Experience working across multiple concurrent projects or markets
• Ability to coordinate across technical, commercial, legal, and operational teams
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
• Beneficial if; Experience with data center or large-scale infrastructure projects, Familiarity with behind-the-meter generation and distributed energy solutions, Exposure to land acquisition and site development processes, Experience building or improving development processes, tools, or reporting frameworks
