Job description

The Front-End Senior Software Engineer will provide technical leadership beyond day-to-day development efforts. This individual will drive front-end architecture and design decisions focused on scalability, performance, high availability, security, and multi-tenant, white-label solutions. In addition to building exceptional software, the ideal candidate will elevate the team through mentorship, code reviews, architectural guidance, and the promotion of modern development standards and best practices.

  • Own the architecture, scalability, performance, and security of VizyPay’s frontend applications, including the CRM, and ensure seamless integration with backend and platform services.
  • Design and lead frontend architecture for multi-tenant, white-label platforms, including tenant theming and branding, configuration-driven UI, environment strategy, and safe tenant isolation.
  • Make architectural decisions that ensure high availability and fault tolerance of web frontends, covering resilient deployment strategies, graceful degradation, caching and CDN strategy, and monitoring.
  • Define and enforce frontend engineering standards across the team, including component architecture, state management, accessibility, testing, and design system governance.
  • Lead frontend solution design for integrations with core business systems (boarding, underwriting, CRM, reporting) and with first- and third-party platforms through APIs, webhooks, and event streams.
  • Implement secure frontend practices such as XSS/CSRF prevention, Content Security Policy configuration, and secure token and session handling. Partner with Infrastructure & Security on threat modeling, logging, monitoring, and audit readiness.
  • Mentor team engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design reviews as a hands-on individual contributor.
  • Monitor and continuously improve frontend performance using Core Web Vitals and real-user monitoring (RUM) data. Support incident resolution and drive root cause analysis from an architectural perspective.
  • Evaluate new technologies and translate business and product requirements into technical designs aligned with long-term strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience required. A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is a plus.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
  • 7+ years of software engineering work experience required with a strong emphasis on frontend and web application development.
  • Expert-level Angular and TypeScript, including reactive programming with RxJS, state management with NgRx, and Angular Signals.
  • Proven experience designing, architecting, and developing frontend systems for multi-tenant, white-label platforms.
  • Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant frontend systems that integrate with distributed, microservices-based backends.
  • Strong command of API design and consumption, including RESTful services, event-driven patterns, efficient client-side data fetching and caching, and real-time UI patterns such as WebSockets and polling.
  • Experience implementing secure frontend coding practices (XSS/CSRF prevention, CSP configuration, secure token and session handling) and designing systems aligned with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS.
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design skills, including a scalable CSS architecture approach such as SCSS.
  • Experience with rendering and performance optimization, including server-side rendering with Angular Universal, hydration, code splitting, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals tuning.
  • Automated testing across the frontend stack (Jest, Jasmine/Karma, Cypress, or Playwright) and experience building CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications, including linting and quality gates.
  • Experience with modern build tooling (Webpack, Vite) and monorepo tooling such as Nx.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns, SOLID principles) applied to large, complex frontend codebases.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and to influence across cross-functional teams., * Experience in FinTech, Financial Services, Merchant Services, or with CRM, boarding, underwriting, or reporting platforms.
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating frontend applications on AWS, and familiarity with edge networking and security using Cloudflare.
  • Backend familiarity with Node.js/NestJS and working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) as they influence frontend data modeling.
  • Experience with accessibility standards and testing (WCAG 2.1 AA) using tools such as Axe or Lighthouse.
  • Experience with component documentation and design system tooling, such as Storybook, and collaboration with design teams in Figma, including design tokens.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL or Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) integration patterns.
  • Exposure to observability and RUM tooling, such as Datadog RUM or New Relic Browser.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience with feature flagging, A/B testing, and progressive rollout strategies for frontend releases.
  • Familiarity with dependency and software composition analysis (SCA) tooling to identify and remediate vulnerable frontend packages.
