Job description

The Technology Integration Coordinator position was established to create consistent control and management of District applications and implement a thorough technology professional development program to accompany District applications and new initiative rollouts.

Duties

  • Develops and conducts various staff development activities (e.g., New Teacher Induction, After School, and Summer technology training programs for district staff) to upgrade staff members’ technological skills in utilizing hardware, software, grading, and other district initiatives.
  • Serves as an Instructional Technology Integration consultant to various staff members (e.g.,principals, teachers, curriculum supervisors, and other staff members) to develop skills, knowledge, and experience in effectively using current technology, equipment, hardware,and software.
  • Assists in the development and monitoring of the district technology with alignment to the district technology audit.
  • Tests technology applications, tools, and programs to assess proposed products, programs, or tools.
  • Provides feedback for the administrative decision processes, to ensure appropriate acquisition of educational and operational technology solutions to assist others with these functions.
  • Integration of Applications.
  • Develops and delivers Technology Professional Development.
  • Works with Curriculum to plan and set up new software

  • Attends Faculty Meetings, Department Meetings, Team Meetings, and In-Services as needed or requested.
  • Supervises Elementary and Oakmont Tech Assistants and support Tech Mentors.
  • Contact for deployment and training for new software applications.
  • Guides Instructional Administrators and teachers through AI and its impact on education.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in MIS\IT\Computer field OR Instructional Technology
  • Preferred a minimum of 2-4 years experience in Information Technology or Instructional Technology
  • Experience with PowerSchool admin (plug-ins, exporting data, etc)
  • Solid understanding of macOS
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Experience with Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, and Classlink/Clever
