Job description

MissionEdge Technologies is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer with strong backend expertise and functional UI experience to build and maintain mission analytics systems. The role focuses on developing scalable web services that capture, manage, enrich, and report metadata for mission-critical analytic workflows. The position offers up to 24 hours per week of teleworking, depending on project needs and leadership approval.

Requirements

  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
  • Years experience for Level 2: Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Years experience for Level 3: Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Java threading, REST APIs, and JMS.
  • Experience with frontend development using JavaScript.
  • Proficiency with cloud and container technologies, including AWS, Amazon RDS, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and Rancher.
  • Experience with web application servers such as Tomcat.
  • Knowledge of databases including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and CockroachDB (or similar large-scale relational databases).
  • Experience integrating and working with open-source tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with large-scale, high-availability distributed systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills., May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday., Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.

The compensation for this role will be competitive and is aligned with industry standards, taking into consideration factors such as experience, education, and geographic location. The base salary range for this position is

Level 2: $ 171 ,300 to $215,200 (USD),

Level 3: $189,700 to $238,300 (USD),

exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits., Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
