Software Engineer Level 2

MissionEdge Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to join our talented team supporting mission-critical government programs. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain complex software solutions that power high-impact systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build new capabilities, enhance existing applications, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver scalable, high-quality software that meets demanding mission requirements.

• Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
• Fourteen (14) years of Software Engineering (SWE) experience supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university. An additional four (4) years of relevant Software Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong experience with Java or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience using Confluence, JIRA , and GitLab in a collaborative software development environment.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in an Agile, team-oriented environment supporting mission-focused objectives.

Desired/Preferred Skills:

• NiFi experience, May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday., Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.

Candidates are invited to submit their salary expectations along with their application. The compensation for this role will be competitive and is aligned with industry standards, taking into consideration factors such as experience, education, and geographic location. The base salary range for this position is $177,900 to $223,550 (USD), exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits., Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
