Job description

This position involves providing expert engineering support for fuel injection systems, focusing on performance optimization, validation, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle. The role serves as a pivotal connection between engineering and various other operational teams, emphasizing effective problem-solving and seamless coordination across functions., * Design and improve remanufacturing processes for diesel fuel injectors.

  • Deliver engineering support for fuel injection products, ensuring program specifications are met.
  • Analyze performance issues, such as test failures and field incidents, providing solutions.
  • Drive or support detailed investigations and corrective measures for engineering challenges.
  • Develop technical documents including incident reports and audit summaries.
  • Engage in regular engineering reviews, updating stakeholders on program progress.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure product quality and readiness.
  • Liaise with internal labs, quality teams, and external suppliers to address technical issues effectively.
  • Pursue ongoing enhancements to improve product performance and application resilience.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with routine collaboration across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
  • Occasional support may be required outside standard working hours, particularly during product launches or critical situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Over five years of experience in application engineering, product support, or validation engineering.
  • Expertise in diesel engine systems, particularly with fuel injector design and validation using tools like 3D SolidWorks and GD&T.
  • Strong analytical and technical documentation skills combined with effective communication abilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience with automotive fuel or engine systems.
  • Knowledge of production launch procedures and sustaining engineering support.

Skills:

  • Proficient in application-level analysis, root cause, and corrective action processes.
  • Strong ability for creating detailed technical reports and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adept time management with a strong follow-through mindset.
  • Understanding of validation testing and sequencing is advantageous.
