Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Unified Communications Voice Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise voice and communication systems. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in network architecture, security, and collaboration technologies to develop innovative solutions that enhance organizational communication capabilities. Your energetic approach will drive seamless integration of voice over IP (VoIP), video conferencing, and unified communication platforms, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of our communications technology landscape while working with cutting-edge tools and methodologies., * Lead the architecture and deployment of enterprise voice solutions utilizing Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Voice gateways, and related collaboration tools.

  • Design and implement secure network infrastructure supporting VoIP, video conferencing, and unified communications, including configuring Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, and Cisco Nexus devices.
  • Integrate advanced security protocols such as Cisco ISE for identity services and Cisco ASA for firewall management to protect communication systems against threats.
  • Develop comprehensive network designs incorporating LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, VPNs, and IPsec protocols to ensure reliable connectivity across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation scripts using Python or JavaScript for streamlined network management and troubleshooting.
  • Optimize network performance through routing protocol configurations including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and QoS policies to prioritize voice traffic effectively.
  • Support system design efforts by leveraging knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, and network security best practices to maintain a resilient infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing and deploying enterprise unified communications systems with a focus on voice architecture using Cisco platforms.
  • Strong background in computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN design, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), network switching (Cisco Nexus), and security frameworks (Cisco ISE, ASA).
  • Hands-on expertise with SD-WAN implementation, MPLS networks, VPNs (including VPN technology like IPsec), firewalls, load balancers, and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for network management tasks.
  • Knowledge of cloud services like AWS or Azure integrated with on-premise infrastructure is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills supported by experience in system monitoring tools like Meraki or other network management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including operating systems (Windows/Linux), databases (SQL/Oracle), system design principles, and DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE in Collaboration or Routing & Switching are highly desirable; familiarity with Juniper networks is a plus.
