SAP BTP Quality Engineer (Test Automation / Java / Cloud) | Fully Remote

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Quality Engineer to join their QA and Release Management team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a reusable BTP Test Automation framework, coaching teammates on adoption, and serving as the Subject Matter Expert on BTP services and troubleshooting.

This is a fully remote, senior-level role for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment. You will operate as a third-party quality perspective, meaning strong soft skills and the ability to collaborate across teams without friction are just as important as technical depth.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement a reusable BTP Test Automation framework and associated tooling
• Coach and mentor team members on BTP Test Automation technologies and techniques
• Analyze and understand BTP testing procedures and requirements
• Develop and execute BTP test plans, test cases, and automation scripts, including manual testing when required
• Identify, document, and follow up on bugs and quality issues using logging, monitoring, and upstream reporting tools
• Regularly revisit test cases and strategy to reflect the latest product functionality across rapid release cycles
• Report on and document BTP testing status and results
• Act as Subject Matter Expert on BTP services, usage, and troubleshooting

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold ONLY U.S. Citizenship. No dual citizens will be considered. This is a firm client requirement with no exceptions.
• Must be willing to convert to full-time employment in the future if requested by the client.
• W-2 only. No C2C, no 1099, no third-party agencies., * 5 or more years of experience in Test Automation
• 5 or more years of experience with Java or related programming languages
• 5 or more years of experience with test management systems
• 3 or more years of experience in cloud platform testing
• Strong knowledge of software testing, quality assurance principles, and programming fundamentals
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills

Preferred:

• 3 or more years building, maintaining, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines
• 3 or more years developing or operating SAP BTP extensions and services from the technical side
• 3 or more years using Playwright with Java
• 1 or more years working with LLMs and building agents to integrate with development workflows
• Experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments
• Experience with automated reporting
• Experience with ServiceNow including queries, automation flows, and dashboards
• Background in agile DevOps environments
