Design and draft custom sheet metal components using Solid Edge, including parametric 3D models and production-ready 2D drawings

Interpret project requirements and develop efficient, manufacturable design solutions from concept through fabrication release

Generate precise flat patterns, bills of materials, and fabrication drawings for production handoff

Partner with the production team to validate designs against manufacturing constraints and quality standards

Manage multiple concurrent projects and reprioritize dynamically in response to urgent production needs

Requirements
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Design Engineer to take ownership of custom metal component projects from initial concept through fabrication release. This is a high-ownership, production-facing role that requires a technically rigorous, self-directed individual capable of delivering accurate designs under tight timelines with minimal supervision., Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Minimum of three years of experience in mechanical design engineering within a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in Solid Edge or SolidWorks; must be willing to transition to Solid Edge

Strong knowledge of sheet metal layout, forming, and fabrication processes

Parametric design experience

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
