Job description
A media enterprise client is seeking a Director, Enterprise Orchestration to join their team! This role will lead the design and development of AI-driven workflows that automate and connect enterprise SaaS applications across IT, HR, Legal, Finance, and other business units, with an initial focus on ITSM use cases to reduce ticket volume and SLA timelines. You will work closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to identify high-impact automation opportunities, design API-driven integrations, and build scalable solutions using modern engineering practices. This position is highly hands-on, requiring direct coding and workflow development while mentoring a growing team of engineers. This is a full-time role based in Los Angeles or New York with a 3-day onsite requirement, offering a base salary of ~$160k-$232k plus a 15% bonus.
Requirements

Hands-on software engineering leadership experience

Proven experience building enterprise workflow automation across SaaS applications (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Okta, Outlook, etc.)

Strong API design and integration experience

Ability to code alongside the team (60-70% hands-on initially)

Experience working with AI-driven automation or embedding AI into enterprise systems

Strong executive presence; able to present and partner with business leaders across IT, HR, Legal, Finance, and Sales

Experience operating at scale (1k-5k employees, 200+ internal applications)

Deep understanding of ITSM workflows and operational support models

Excellent communication skills; business-facing and technically credible * Exposure to AI workflow orchestration platforms (e.g., Serval, Workato, or similar)

Background in medium-to-large tech-focused organizations

AWS experience

Strong Python and/or TypeScript background
