Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join one of our most prominent Asset Management clients and sit 4 days/week in Manhattan. This person will be supporting Corporate, Compliance, Legal, and Risk functions. This is a hands-on, end-to-end delivery role where the individual will own solutions from requirements and design through build, testing, and production deployment. The engineer will partner directly with business stakeholders and product teams to translate use cases into scalable AI-driven solutions. They will design and implement AI-powered workflows using Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI, AI Search, and Document Intelligence, while leveraging agent frameworks and orchestration tools like Temporal. This role involves building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, working within GitOps/Flux deployment patterns, and integrating solutions with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake. The engineer will manage multiple concurrent workstreams, lead UAT and release readiness, and ensure solutions meet compliance and operational standards in a regulated environment. They will also communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to both technical and business stakeholders, while documenting solutions and supporting ongoing production operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end solutions in enterprise environments (design * build * deployment * support)
- Strong hands-on Azure experience (AKS, Azure AI services, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices)
- Experience with GitOps and Flux-based deployment workflows
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar)

Deep experience with AI development (agent design, prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, model selection) o Familiarity with AI-assisted dev tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Codex)
- Hands-on experience building real AI solutions (not just POCs) using modern frameworks/tools
- Experience integrating with data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, data services, APIs)
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AI Search, and Document Intelligence
- Experience with Temporal or similar orchestration tools (AutoGen, LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents SDK, etc.)
- Exposure to Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Corporate domains in financial services
- Experience with enterprise observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Okta, or identity/access systems
- Background working in regulated industries (financial services, etc.)
