Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in front-end and back-end development, with experience in a variety of modern technologies and frameworks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from web design and user experience (UX) to complex system architecture and API integration.

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications that meet high standards of performance, security, and visual appeal., * Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

  • Implement front-end features with a focus on UX optimisation and accessibility standards.
  • Develop robust back-end solutions using technologies like Node.js, Django, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, or PHP to support seamless data flow via APIs and web services.
  • Manage databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or SQLite; optimise queries for efficiency.
  • Utilise version control systems such as Git or SVN to track changes and collaborate effectively within development teams.
  • Automate deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, or similar DevOps tools; manage cloud services like AWS or Azure for scalable hosting solutions.
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to visualise project concepts; collaborate with designers to ensure visually appealing interfaces aligned with brand standards.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality code; implement RESTful APIs and utilise GraphQL where appropriate.
  • Maintain documentation of system architecture, codebases, and workflows in accordance with SDLC best practices.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends in web development including responsive design techniques, SEO optimisation strategies, and new frameworks or libraries.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in front-end development with expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), JavaScript (TypeScript), and responsive web design principles.
  • Strong knowledge of popular frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js or similar libraries like jQuery.
  • Experience working with back-end technologies including Node.js, Django (Python), ASP.NET (.NET), Ruby on Rails or PHP-based platforms such as WordPress or Drupal.
  • Proficiency in database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MongoDB; ability to write efficient SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with version control systems including Git or SVN; experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Understanding of system architecture principles and experience deploying applications on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of web services protocols such as RESTful APIs and SOAP; experience integrating third-party APIs including GraphQL is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams using project management tools such as Jira or Trello.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred but not essential if accompanied by demonstrable experience.
