Job description

Plan A Technologies is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior NetSuite Developer to join our Financial Business Systems team and drive the development and maintenance of custom solutions within the NetSuite platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, build, and test custom solutions that drive business value, while also participating in an on-call support rotation to ensure the smooth operation of our systems., * Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME), partnering with Finance, Treasury , Transaction Operations, and Product to proactively analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs and SOX-compliant solutions.

  • Architect, design, develop, and optimize custom NetSuite solutions (SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, custom records) that ensure data integrity and can reliably support 10 times transaction volume across financial modules (GL, AR, AP).
  • Own and optimize robust, high-performance integrations between NetSuite and key financial systems (e.g., Coupa, Concur, Stripe) using SuiteTalk, RESTlets, and integration middleware, focusing on idempotency and error handling for mission-critical data.
  • Mandate and execute rigorous unit, system integration, and performance testing to certify that solutions meet performance SLAs and maintain SOX-required segregation of duties (SOD) and control points before deployment.
  • Collaborate with other teams or act as incident commander if needed to support and troubleshoot for complex production issues, identifying and resolving root causes with a focus on preventing recurrence and preserving system stability during month-end close.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide expert-level technical support, ensuring rapid and compliant resolution of critical production incidents impacting.
  • Enforce SDLC best practices including source control (Git), code reviews, and our established change management controls (e.g., SuiteBundler, manual configuration logs) to ensure all system modifications are documented, approved, and auditable per SOX requirements.

Requirements

Please note: you must have at least 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3-5 years focused specifically on NetSuite development (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, etc.) to be considered for this role., * Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, & algorithm design, etc.

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3-5 years focused specifically on NetSuite development (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, etc.).
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting and experience working in a SOX compliant environment.
  • Strong understanding of NetSuite architecture and customization options.
  • Proficiency in SuiteScript, including server-side script types such as RESTlets, Map/Reduce Scripts, and User Event Scripts.
  • Experience with integration tools such as SuiteTalk, SuiteFlow, and Web Services.
  • Experience with the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF).
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.
  • Experience with testing and quality assurance best practices.
  • Experience with SuiteAnalytics and/or SuiteQL (a plus).
  • Familiarity with the Jest testing framework (a plus).
  • Fusion familiarity and ideally OCI experience (Oracle Cloud Integration)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Team worker, problem solver and able to problem-solve under minimal supervision.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Initiative and drive to do great things
