Job description

Plan A Technologies is looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer with NetSuite experience to join our core engineering team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and scaling our Java-based backend services while leading deep integrations with NetSuite., * Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot / Micronaut).

  • Build and manage robust integrations between our proprietary systems and NetSuite ERP using SuiteTalk (Web Services) and RESTlets.
  • Optimize data exchange between the server and NetSuite, ensuring data integrity for financial and operational records.
  • Develop Java-based tools to facilitate complex extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data during the migration process.
  • Identify bottlenecks in Java logic and NetSuite scripts to ensure low-latency processing and high system

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an expert in the Java ecosystem who has a strong functional and technical understanding of NetSuite (SuiteScript, SuiteTalk). A major focus of this role will be supporting our strategic roadmap, which includes a migration to Oracle Fusion; prior experience with Oracle migrations is a significant advantage.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java and proven experience with NetSuite development to be considered for this role., * BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java (8/11/17+) and frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • Proven experience with NetSuite development, specifically SuiteScript (2.x), SuiteTalk, and SuiteCloud platforms.
  • Strong experience building and consuming RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
  • Deep knowledge of SQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), Git, and Maven/Gradle.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative and drive to do great things.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience migrating NetSuite to Oracle Fusion.
  • Understanding of core ERP business processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, General Ledger).
  • Experience refactoring monolithic architectures into microservices.
