NetSuite Technical Lead / Senior Developer (Remote)

About the RoleWe are seeking a NetSuite Technical Lead / Senior Developer who combines strong NetSuite engineering expertise with a mindset for continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who can own technical design, remain hands-on with development, and actively improve how the team builds and delivers solutions.You will work closely with developers, functional consultants, customers, and the company’s Solution Architect to design scalable, upgrade-resilient NetSuite solutions while introducing better tooling, automation, and engineering practices across the team.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and contribute to the technical design and implementation of NetSuite solutions using SuiteScript 2.x, SDF, and SuiteCloud toolsArchitect solutions that minimize tight coupling, manage governance limits, and remain stable across NetSuite upgradesDesign and review integrations between NetSuite and external systems using REST APIs, RESTlets, and iPaaS platforms such as Celigo, MuleSoft, or BoomiIntroduce and champion process automation and development improvements within the technical team, including the responsible use of AI-assisted tools and emerging technologiesCreate and maintain technical design documentation, diagrams, and flow models using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart, ensuring alignment with functional designsWork closely with functional consultants to translate business process designs into clear, well-structured technical architecturesPartner with the Solution Architect to supplement solution design discussions, validate technical approaches, and ensure consistency across projectsLead code reviews, define development standards, and mentor developers to improve overall code quality and delivery consistencySupport release management, environment promotion, and versioning using SDF, SuiteApps, and SuiteBundlesDesign and support reporting and analytics solutions using saved searches, SuiteAnalytics, and SuiteAnalytics ConnectRequired Qualifications5-9 years of software development experience, with 3-5 years focused on NetSuiteAdvanced hands-on experience with:SuiteScript 2.x (User Events, Client Scripts, Map/Reduce, RESTlets)NetSuite data access patterns (Search, SuiteQL, SuiteAnalytics Connect)SDF and structured deployment workflowsStrong understanding of:Integration patterns and common iPaaS tools (e.g., Celigo, MuleSoft, Boomi)SQL and relational database fundamentalsPerformance considerations and governance limits in NetSuiteExperience documenting technical designs and system flows in collaboration with functional teamsAbility to evaluate and apply automation or AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and qualityComfortable engaging in technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholdersCollaborative mindset with strong communication and mentoring skillsNice to HaveExperience building or maintaining SuiteAppsExposure to CI/CD concepts or development workflow automationExperience working with data warehouses or BI toolsPrior experience in consulting or customer-facing technical rolesJ-18808-Ljbffr
