  • Opportunity to help shape and support innovative instructional and operational technology practices., North Georgia RESA (NGRESA) is seeking a part-time Technology and Digital Learning Specialist to provide technology support, training, and systems management for RESA staff and participating school districts. This position supports the effective use of instructional and operational technology, including website management, Canvas support, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration, technology inventory management, and professional learning for educators and staff.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of educational technology and digital learning practices, enjoys learning new technologies, and is committed to helping educators and organizations leverage technology to improve teaching, learning, and operational efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide technology support and training for RESA staff and participating school districts.
  • Support instructional technology integration, digital learning tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Assist with the administration of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, user accounts, and related technology systems.
  • Maintain and update the RESA website and digital communication platforms.
  • Provide support for Canvas and other learning management platforms as needed.
  • Manage technology inventory, asset tracking, software licensing, and related documentation.
  • Develop and utilize surveys and data collection tools to identify and address technology needs.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and other technology-related issues.
  • Collaborate with staff and district personnel to improve technology utilization, efficiency, and digital workflows.
  • Design, facilitate, and support professional learning opportunities focused on digital teaching and learning practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend appropriate solutions to support organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Experience in instructional technology, digital learning, information technology, education, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Canvas, and website management platforms.
  • Experience providing technology training, professional learning, and technical support.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Experience working in K-12 education or an educational service agency is preferred.

Location: 489 Highland Crossing, East Ellijay, GA 30540 Work Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
