Job description

Under the general direction of the agency’s Chief Operations Officer, the IT Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and management of the IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring that technology supports our mission of delivering high-quality mental health and substance use treatment., * IT Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute IT strategies that align with the facility’s goals. Assess technological needs and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.

  • Meet identified rocks, goals, and milestones of assigned OKR and level 10 meeting participation
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. Ensure all systems are secure, reliable, and meet compliance requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the IT network including the wireless networks.
  • Device Management: Establish an inventory and assignment of electronic devices to staff members and contractors
  • Develop a process to inventory electronic devices and maintain an accurate current inventory
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff and users. Manage and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Develop an IT ticket system for the purpose of tracking tickets and efficacy according to the priority of the Administrative Controller
  • Complete a ticket for staff members calling or emailing you; redirect them to create a ticket to prioritize your work; prioritize support requests for emergencies or direct patient care scenarios.
  • Diagnose and resolve software problems identified by a ticket; Document all requests received for IT support to their completion
  • Report the IT Support OKR in level 10 meetings as assigned
  • Security and Access: Management of IT Security and privileges of staff whom may access information; privilege information and manage user access
  • Establish protocol and a monitoring system to authorized uses of information and use of IT systems
  • Monitor Kipu User logins, active staff logs, disable or locked logins and support human resources to ensure only the ACTIVE roster of employees has access
  • Monitor events in Kipu that affect the system at large (such as unexpected reports, mass downloads, deletion of records, backend user account tracking)
  • Cybersecurity: Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive patient and facility data. Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and ensure systems are fortified against potential breaches.
  • Assess the threats and penetrability of the system by conducting analysis internally or through a contracted security vendor
  • Monitor SECONevent and implementation of Ransomware Response
  • Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Emergency Management: Address expedient resolutions to emergencies affecting the IT system
  • Evaluate and improve emergency plans that address IT at Cornerstone Healing Center at least annually.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure IT systems comply with relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA. Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and IT assets.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. Evaluate and negotiate contracts and service level agreements.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor IT staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, providing training and support as needed.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and other technology initiatives. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify hardware, software, and other resources necessary to accomplish unit tasks within budgetary constraints. Recommend the purchase of hardware/software.
  • Data Management: Oversee data backup, recovery, and management processes. Ensure data integrity and availability for clinical and administrative operations.
  • User Training: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are proficient in using IT systems and tools effectively.
  • Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Educate employees to email safety, phishing attacks, scams, thumb drive safety, support tickets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP) preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, including network infrastructure, hardware, and software.
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems, electronic health records (EHR), and compliance requirements (HIPAA)
  • ISO Certification preferred but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and vendor management.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED

  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed for system maintenance or emergency support.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Adaptable and takes initiative on additional responsibilities as necessary., Must be able to walk, bend, stand, climb stairs, speak English, hear, use a telephone, drive an automobile, and operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copier, and fax machine. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds., * Do you have at least three years of experience managing an organization’s IT infrastructure, including Google Workspce administration, networking, end-user support, and technology systems?
