IT Support Specialist - Illumio Zero Trust Support

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for a Zero Trust microsegmentation environment built on Illumio. This position covers planning and delivery of customer support services, including installation, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training, with a primary focus on operating and maintaining the Illumio platform. Functions include installing and troubleshooting Illumio VEN agents across Windows and Linux endpoints, diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer-reported incidents, supporting application dependency mapping and segmentation policy administration, researching and reporting trends and patterns of problems, developing training materials and delivering user training on Zero Trust tools and workflows, maintaining problem tracking databases, performing backup and recovery operations for platform configurations, consulting with users and application owners to identify segmentation needs and requirements, and ensuring the rigorous application of information security/Cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices - including Zero Trust Architecture principles consistent with NIST SP 800-207 and DoD Zero Trust guidance. May be required to support DLA’s eProcurement system(s).

Six (6) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, three (3) of which are specialized in Information Processing and involve a range of hardware/software solutions, two (2) of which are concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, diagnosing problems, and training customers in the use of software and hardware.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Zero Trust concepts (microsegmentation, least-privilege access, host-based policy enforcement) and prior experience supporting some level of Zero Trust or network segmentation work (e.g., host-based firewall administration, agent deployment, policy tuning, or comparable security tooling support).

Security/Certification Requirements Sensitivity Level:

• IT-I Critical Sensitive Clearance: Secret Computing Environment: One certification from the most current DLA-approved Computing Environment Certification List satisfying the Server Admin IA role/function (Cloud or Microsoft/Linux Operating System).

• Any one of the following meets this requirement - candidates are not expected to hold more than one: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Illumio Certified Specialist - Core Administration: Not required at time of application, but will likely be required to be possessed within ninety (90) days of contract onboarding.

• If the job duty assignment requires “Privileged” access, must also possess: IA Level: IAT II or IAT III per DoD 8570.01-M (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) 8570.01-M Baseline Certification to include application, data, database, utility, or software tools administration which require “Privileged” access Desired Qualifications Additional desirable experience includes familiarity with application dependency mapping, ticketing/ITSM workflows, and communicating segmentation changes to non-technical application owners.
