Job description
- Develop, create, and maintain SMT programs using Fuji platforms and Nexim software
- Translate technical documentation, BOMs, CAD data, and assembly drawings into accurate machine programs
- Ensure data integrity and program accuracy to support high-quality production output
- Optimize SMT programs to improve cycle time, placement accuracy, and line efficiency
- Troubleshoot programming and machine-related issues in collaboration with Production and Process Engineering teams
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by generating and validating SMT programs
- Maintain and update program libraries, documentation, and revision controls
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, quality standards, and customer requirements
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 3-8+ years of SMT programming experience in a PCB/PCBA manufacturing environment
- Strong expertise with:
o Fuji SMT platforms o Nexim software
- Experience working with technical data packages, including CAD files, Gerbers, BOMs, and assembly prints
- Strong understanding of SMT manufacturing processes and equipment capabilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to ensure program accuracy and documentation integrity
- ITAR eligibility required; experience working in an ITAR-regulated environment is a strong plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environments
- Exposure to DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles
- Familiarity with line balancing and optimization strategies
- Working knowledge of IPC standards and quality compliance requirements, We are seeking a detail-oriented SMT Programming Engineer with strong expertise in Fuji placement platforms and Nexim software to support production and process optimization within a high-performance PCB/PCBA environment. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant SMT programming that directly impacts line performance, yields, and product quality.
