Job description
The Cloud Configuration Manager at Knight Federal Solutions Inc is responsible for overseeing and managing the configuration management processes within cloud environments, ensuring compliance with government standards and facilitating seamless integration and operation of software and hardware components. This role requires a strategic approach to configuration management, focusing on the documentation and approval of Configuration Items (CIs) and collaborating with technical review boards and change control boards., Define and document all Configuration Items (CIs), including both software and hardware components within the project scope.
- Compile comprehensive data into approval packages and present to the Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Control Board (CCB) for validation and approval.
- Ensure adherence to government configuration plans and standards, maintaining compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of configuration management principles and practices.
- Maintain active communication with stakeholders to facilitate understanding and compliance with configuration management processes.
- Develop and maintain Configuration Management Plans (CMPs) and Change Management protocols to support project objectives.
- Provide expert guidance and support in cloud environments, with a focus on AWS GovCloud, to optimize configuration management strategies.
- Utilize excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex configuration management concepts to diverse audiences.
Required Education:
- Relevant Associate or Bachelor’s Degree, or supporting certifications and relevant job or military experience of 4 years in lieu of degree
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in configuration management
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with government agencies and adhering to Government configuration plans
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Active Top Secret Clearance, preferred with SCI eligibility. The position may require a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles, including CM plans, CIs, and change management
- Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS GovCloud
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
