Job description

  • You must hold, or be able to obtain, a clean Enhanced DBS check. This is a condition of employment - please don’t apply if you know this would be an issue, as we can’t take you through to offer stage without it.
  • You must be comfortable making fast, independent decisions in a live production environment. If an issue needs judgement under pressure, we need you to own it - not escalate everything or wait for direction.

About the Role

You’ll manage, support, and improve Microsoft 365 and cloud environments for our business clients, working across both support and project delivery. This is an advanced, hands-on technical role for someone with genuine real-world experience administering and deploying Microsoft cloud technologies - not a theoretical or certification-only background.

You’ll be a point of escalation and direction for issues that reach you, expected to take ownership of problems through to resolution and to communicate confidently and professionally with clients throughout., * Administration and support of Microsoft 365 environments

  • Managing Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams
  • Managing Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Deploying and managing Microsoft Intune and endpoint security
  • Implementing Conditional Access Policies and Microsoft 365 security controls
  • Troubleshooting complex Microsoft 365 and Windows issues
  • Supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments
  • Assisting with Microsoft 365 migrations and onboarding projects
  • Providing remote and occasional onsite support to business clients
  • Managing user accounts, licensing, permissions and security
  • Working with firewalls, networking, VPNs and business infrastructure
  • Building and configuring PCs, laptops and business hardware
  • Maintaining documentation and updating ticketing systems
  • Delivering excellent customer service and communication

Requirements

QLine IT is a growing IT support company managing Microsoft 365 environments for a wide range of business clients. We’re looking for an experienced, decisive engineer to take ownership of that environment - someone who can be trusted to make the right call quickly, without waiting to be told, because our clients operate live and downtime costs them money.

This is a senior technical role. You’ll work independently, troubleshoot complex issues end-to-end, and take the lead on both day-to-day support and project delivery - improving security, collaboration, endpoint management, and infrastructure across our client base.

This is an office-based role at our Leeds office, with occasional hybrid working available by arrangement, plus occasional client site visits., * Confident and assertive - comfortable taking ownership, making fast decisions, and directing others in a live, time-critical support environment

  • Must hold, or be able to obtain, a clean Enhanced DBS check
  • Strong commercial experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
  • Experience configuring Conditional Access and Microsoft 365 security
  • Experience with Exchange Online and Teams administration
  • Strong Windows desktop and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience supporting business clients in a professional environment
  • Experience using ticketing/helpdesk systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently and take ownership of issues
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills

  • Azure administration experience
  • Experience with networking and firewalls
  • Experience with Hyper-V or VMware
  • MSP or multi-client support experience
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Apple macOS support experience
  • Cyber Essentials/security experience

What We Are Looking For

We need someone practical, professional, and technically capable - but just as important, someone with genuine urgency and presence. You’ll often be the most senior technical voice a client hears, so we’re looking for someone who gives clear direction, makes decisions without hesitation, and takes visible ownership of problems rather than passing them along. If you’re naturally laid-back under pressure, this fast-paced, live-environment role won’t be the right fit - and that’s fine, but please don’t apply., * Applicants must have previous commercial IT support experience with Microsoft 365 environments. Applications from candidates without genuine Microsoft 365 administration experience will not be considered.
