Job description

We’re looking for a motivated Entry-Level Developer to join our growing team in Melbourne, FL.

In this role, you’ll work closely with senior developers to maintain and improve our internal software systems and client-facing web portals. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment where learning, collaboration, and clean code are valued.

A Day in the Life

As an Entry-Level Developer, your average day will include:

  • Maintaining and debugging internal software systems

  • Managing and enhancing our web-based customer portals

  • Collaborating with team members to build new features and functionality

  • Participating in code reviews and project discussions

  • Writing well-documented, maintainable code with a focus on performance and error handling

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

An Entry-Level Developer should be eager to learn, have a strong work ethic, and adapt quickly to new technology, languages, and frameworks.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with various tasks such as coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting software applications

  • Writing code based on specifications provided by senior team members

  • Collaborating with senior team members to ensure projects are completed successfully

  • Provide feedback and suggestions in a casual, friendly tone, making technical advice approachable and understandable

  • Actively seek feedback, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve coding skills and knowledge

Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in VB.NET, Transact-SQL, and embedding HTML in SQL for XML

  • Experience with Vue.js (front end) and Express.js (back end)

  • Strong understanding of JavaScript and full-stack development principles

  • Familiarity with integrating front-end and back-end systems

  • Ability to write clean, well-formatted, and maintainable code

  • Emphasis on strong error handling, readability, and performance

Soft Skills:

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to accept and apply feedback constructively

  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset

  • Reliable in following a project from start to finish, * Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • SQL Certification is highly preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar industry is a plus, but not required
