Job description
We’re looking for a motivated Entry-Level Developer to join our growing team in Melbourne, FL.
In this role, you’ll work closely with senior developers to maintain and improve our internal software systems and client-facing web portals. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment where learning, collaboration, and clean code are valued.
A Day in the Life
As an Entry-Level Developer, your average day will include:

Maintaining and debugging internal software systems

Managing and enhancing our web-based customer portals

Collaborating with team members to build new features and functionality
-
Participating in code reviews and project discussions
-
Writing well-documented, maintainable code with a focus on performance and error handling
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
An Entry-Level Developer should be eager to learn, have a strong work ethic, and adapt quickly to new technology, languages, and frameworks.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Assist with various tasks such as coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting software applications

Writing code based on specifications provided by senior team members

Collaborating with senior team members to ensure projects are completed successfully

Provide feedback and suggestions in a casual, friendly tone, making technical advice approachable and understandable
-
Actively seek feedback, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve coding skills and knowledge
Requirements
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in VB.NET, Transact-SQL, and embedding HTML in SQL for XML
-
Experience with Vue.js (front end) and Express.js (back end)
-
Strong understanding of JavaScript and full-stack development principles
-
Familiarity with integrating front-end and back-end systems
-
Ability to write clean, well-formatted, and maintainable code
-
Emphasis on strong error handling, readability, and performance
Soft Skills:
-
Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills
-
Ability to accept and apply feedback constructively
-
Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
- Reliable in following a project from start to finish, * Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred but not required)
- SQL Certification is highly preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar industry is a plus, but not required
