Job description

The Development & Engagement Manager will work closely with the Executive Director to support and implement fundraising and community engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly organized, collaborative professional with a knack for building partnerships, coordinating campaigns, and working with volunteers to drive community-wide growth., 1. Fundraising & Development Strategy

  • Donor Stewardship: Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, treatment center partners, and corporate sponsors.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute comprehensive fundraising campaigns, including the expansion of peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
  • Grant Support: Assist with researching grant opportunities, drafting proposals, and tracking reporting deadlines
  • Database Administration: Maintain Salesforce records, log donations, and run standard reports to track giving trends.
  1. Community Engagement * Partner Benefit Fulfillment: Execute partner benefits in alignment with established thought leadership and marketing plans (including events, blogs, website updates, and other special campaigns). * Content Calendar Management: Collaborate with leadership to identify campaign options in line with organizational needs.Align partner interests and program goals to inform ANAD’s overarching content calendar. * Intern Supervision: Communicate content plans with interns; review and approve social media and blog posts prior to publishing.

  2. Event Planning & Execution * Special Event Coordination: Oversee the logistics, registration, and sponsorship pitches for major fundraising events. * Student Event Support: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and student interns to expand local community events through the ANAD Student Ambassador Program.

  3. Junior Board Supervision * Liaison & Administration: Assist leadership with onboarding Junior Board members and keeping the volunteer pipeline engaged. * Meeting Facilitation: Coordinate logistics for quarterly meetings to keep members engaged, informed, and aligned with organizational goals. * Mentorship & Growth: Provide ongoing advice and guidance to members while scaling the program in line with industry best practices.

Requirements

A collaborative team player who also thrives independently, you are highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to champion our community’s mission., * Experience: 1-3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, development, or volunteer coordination.

  • Communication & Writing: Strong verbal and written communication skills; basic exposure to grant or professional writing is preferred.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Technical Savvy: Experience with Google Suite, WordPress, Canva, and Constant Contact is a plus. Familiarity with Salesforce (or a similar CRM) is highly preferred.
  • Mission Alignment: Lived experience with an eating disorder is a plus (minimum of 2 years fully recovered required).
