Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable EHR Support Specialist to join our mission-driven nonprofit outpatient behavioral health organization. This role supports the finance department by ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining strong internal controls that support high-quality community services.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to supporting the financial integrity of a nonprofit organization serving individuals and families.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agency-wide utilization of the electronic medical record (myEvolv by Netsmart), ensuring staff have appropriate access to the EHR.
  • Build, configure, and maintain electronic forms, clinical documentation templates, assessments, and workflows within the electronic health record.
  • Design, build, modify, and maintain operational and clinical reports to support agency needs, regulatory requirements, quality improvement initiatives, and leadership decision-making.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute a wide variety of routine and ad hoc reports for clinical, administrative, financial, and compliance purposes.
  • Test newly developed forms, reports, workflows, and system enhancements prior to implementation to ensure functionality, accuracy, and compliance with agency requirements.
  • Test, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to myEvolv functionality, upgrades, and system utilization.
  • Initiate, manage, and follow up on support requests through the Netsmart Cares Portal for identified technical issues.
  • Perform ongoing system maintenance and cleanup, including reviewing data integrity, identifying duplicate or obsolete records, updating configuration settings, and assisting with optimization of the electronic health record.
  • Review electronic records and documentation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and ease of retrieval.
  • Manage user access, security roles, profile creation, modifications, and deactivation in accordance with agency policies.
  • Provide training and ongoing technical support to staff to enhance proficiency with myEvolv and related electronic systems.
  • Provide telephone, remote, and in-person technical support to users as needed. Serve as a resource for continued testing and validation of application upgrades, new functionality, system improvements, and workflow enhancements.
  • Collaborate with leadership, program staff, and vendors to identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, documentation processes, reporting capabilities, and data quality.
  • Maintain current knowledge of myEvolv functionality, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to electronic health records and clinical information systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of agency operations

Requirements

  • Education -.High School or technical school Diploma
  • Experience - three years related experience. Fluency of Netsmart or EHR applications functionality and usage Highly skilled and proficiency in computer use including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Databases and Electronic Medical Record Systems.
  • Knowledge of SQL and JavaScript preferred
  • Other - Background check clearance, * High school or equivalent (Preferred), * SQL and JavaScript : 1 year (Preferred)
  • EMR systems: 1 year (Required)
  • Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
  • EHR: 3 years (Required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Carmel, NY 10512
