Job description

This is a rare opportunity to join us as a GEOINT Data Steward to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) Analytics Technology Program (ATP). You’ll sit at the intersection of GIS, enterprise data management, and mission execution. Managing geospatial data environments that intelligence professionals rely on every day, ensuring information is organized, normalized, georeferenced, optimized, and ready when it matters most. You’ll collaborate directly with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders to improve data accessibility and operational effectiveness to applying Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) best practices, database optimization techniques, and enterprise geodatabase management. Requirements

  • Current active Top Secret / SCI clearance.
  • You have achieved a Master’s Degree + 5 years / Bachelor’s Degree + 7 / 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • You have demonstrated experience with GIS, data schemas, and geo-referencing of information to support operational geospatial intelligence environments.
  • Knowledge of extraction and metadata specifications to ensure data integrity, useability, and discoverability across enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) architecture, including best practices for data normalization and database performance tuning / optimization.
  • Experience working with enterprise geodatabase such as Spatial Database Engines (SDEs) within large-scale data environment.
  • Proficiency with tools including ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS Server, Excel, Access, SQL, and Oracle for the storage, organization, maintenance, and management of spatial data.
