Job description

Provide daily user support and respond to incoming helpdesk requests with the kind of speed and accuracy that keeps the whole company moving.

That’s the standard. Every ticket. Every day.

You’ll also:

  • Troubleshoot common hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues
  • Perform on-site workstation repair, including hardware and software remediation
  • Manage the user account lifecycle while keeping permissions accurate
  • Assist with technology asset organization, inventory tracking, and lifecycle management
  • Document every ticket clearly, accurately, and promptly
  • Use good judgment to know when an issue needs to be escalated

YOU’LL THRIVE HERE IF:

You’re not looking for easy. You’re looking for right.

You show up on time because that’s what professionals do. You pay attention because the details matter. When something’s broken, it bothers you until it’s actually fixed - not patched, not passed off. You don’t need someone standing over your shoulder to figure it out; you dig in, because leaving someone stuck pisses you off.

You don’t just want to be good at this. You want to be the person your team relies on. The one who doesn’t drop the ball. The one who makes everyone else’s job easier because you handled your part right.

This is a landing pad, not a parking lot. People who excel here don’t stay stuck; they grow into more senior IT roles, systems and network positions, and other parts of the business as they demonstrate judgment and initiative.

Requirements

While a technology certification or hands-on IT experience would be nice, what we’re really looking for is:

  • A real intolerance for things staying broken - when something’s not working, you notice and you fix it
  • Genuine technical curiosity and the aptitude to keep learning
  • Reliability: on time, on site, able to work days and some weekends
  • Ability to stay organized, document your work, and maintain a clean workspace
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (AS/AAS a plus); a certification like CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate is a plus but not required
  • A valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 30 lbs, and the ability to pass a criminal background check

Benefits & conditions

  • Growth: real opportunities to take on more responsibility as you master the work, build your technical skill set, and show you can own outcomes - not just tickets.
  • Culture: a passionate group of “Laudisians” who like the products, like each other, and like solving problems well.
  • Reality check: we work around tobacco and smoke; many of us are enthusiasts. You’ll often be in smoking areas, so you’ll need to be comfortable with that.

About the company

We’re Laudisi - the people behind Smokingpipes.com, Peterson of Dublin, Cornell & Diehl, Caldwell Cigars, Low Country Pipe & Cigar, and a handful of other brands you’ve probably never heard of (but our customers are obsessed with). Our IT team supports the full stack and technology infrastructure for 12 websites, our proprietary ERP software, and the day-to-day work of over 180 Laudisians across four countries. When someone’s laptop won’t boot, their account’s locked, or a workstation goes down, everything they do grinds to a halt until it’s fixed.
