Job description

Duties may include:

  • Developing and managing course syllabi while adhering to department and college standards
  • Collaborating with colleagues in course curriculum
  • Delivering learning-centered instruction to undergraduate students
  • Assist in the growth and success of a diverse population of students through careful preparation of course materials, effective teaching methodologies, informed critical feedback on assignments and discussions
  • Develop and adapt curriculum incorporating current technologies into the classroom or on-line learning environment (LMS)
  • Implementing school/campus academic and attendance policies
  • Pursuing knowledge of innovations and changes within subject area and field of practice
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations

Requirements

Applied Communication (BS) Biology (AS) Environmental Studies (AS) General Studies (AA, AS) Humanities and Social Sciences (AA) Sustainability (BS) Teacher Education Transfer (AS) Undeclared: Degree Exploration Program, * Appropriate college level degree as determined by Dean, commensurate with level of course complexity, * Master’s or PhD

  • Professional experience
  • License in subject area, where applicable
  • Prior teaching experience
  • Prior teaching at the collegiate level
  • Prior on-line course instruction
