Job description

This role is responsible for building, coordinating, and executing a robust calendar of daily and weekly events, activities, and educational programming for Groovy Guests of all ages, ensuring they run seamlessly alongside our major, large-scale weekend events.

The Programming and Events Manager will take operational ownership of these programs-from initial scheduling and logistics to live day-of execution including coordinating staff members leading the tours, classes, and activities., * Design, curate, and maintain a diverse schedule of daily activities, classes, and tours that appeal to a wide demographic of visitors.

  • Execute weekend festivals and larger tier events
  • Masterfully coordinate logistics to allow multiple events to occur successfully within a single day or week without disruption to standard ranch workflows.

Team Coordination & Delegation

  • Assign clear responsibilities, timelines, and roles to staff members, department leads, and guest experts who will physically host individual tours and classes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and class instructors
  • Foster a collaborative, energetic team environment focused on high-quality internal and external service.

Operations & Logistics Management

  • Oversee day-of execution, ensuring activities start on time, locations are clearly marked for Guests, and supplies are fully prepared.
  • Manage inventories for all educational tools, event materials, and programmatic supplies.
  • Proactively problem-solve on-site logistical challenges to keep visitor experiences running smoothly.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual who has a passion for Guest experiences and will help contribute to making Groovy Plants Ranch a true destination. The Right candidate will:

  • Be highly organized, dynamic, and creative
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Want to grow in an exciting and unique work environment
  • Will have 2-4 years of experience in event management, hospitality operations, recreation management, park services, or a related field.
