Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EDI / B2B Integration Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our global supply chain integration platforms. In this role, you will be the technical expert responsible for managing data translation, trading partner configurations, and system modernization. Your primary focus will be supporting our legacy IBM Sterling B2B Integrator environment while driving our transition and integration strategy using Axway B2Bi., * Platform Management: Administer, configure, and optimize Axway B2Bi and IBM Sterling B2B Integrator environments.

  • EDI Mapping & Translation: Develop, test, and deploy complex maps for standard EDI formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and XML/JSON formats.
  • Workflow Orchestration: Author and modify business processes in IBM Sterling using BPML (Business Process Modeling Language) and graphical process modelers.
  • Partner Onboarding: Setup and maintain secure B2B communication protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS for global trading partners.
  • Modernization & Migration: Assist in migrating legacy B2B workflows, maps, and partner communities from IBM Sterling to Axway’s hybrid-cloud architecture.
  • API Integration: Bridge traditional EDI workflows with modern internal applications using API-led connectivity and Axway API gateways.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 3 support for critical transmission failures, data validation errors, and performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in B2B/EDI integration engineering.
  • Axway Expertise: Proven experience with Axway B2Bi, including mapping, community management, and component configuration.
  • IBM Sterling Expertise: Strong background with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Map Editor, and BPML development.
  • EDI Standards: Deep understanding of X12 (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810and 820) and EDIFACT subsets.
  • Order to Cash and Procedure to Pay: Understanding of Order to Cash and Procedure to Pay.
  • Communication Protocols: Expert-level knowledge of AS2 (certificates, MDNs), SFTP, and TLS/SSL security.
  • Database & Scripting: Proficient with SQL queries, database schemas (Oracle/SQL Server),Linux and basic scripting (Shell, Python, or Java).
  • Heathchecks : Infrastructure Health checks like CPU utilization,Memory usage,Disk space,Database availability and Application server status., * Familiarity with Cloud hosting environments (AWS, Azure) or Docker/Kubernetes deployments for Axway.
  • Experience with Axway Financial Exchange (AI Suite) or API Gateway integration.
