Job description

Position Summary: Visio Consulting is seeking a talented mid-level software systems engineer to design, build, and maintain custom applications supporting an enterprise public key infrastructure (PKI) and certificate-management environment. You’ll work on a focused development team building tools that integrate with certificate authorities and identity systems at a large Federal agency. The ideal candidate will be a talented Engineer with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), PKI and Certificate Management experience who possesses a passion for automating solutions and a deep understanding of Scrum and Agile DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain two custom applications from design through deployment

· Integrate applications with certificate authorities, HSMs, and identity/credential systems

· Collaborate with DevOps to improve build, test, and release automation

· Work with subject-matter experts and testers to ensure quality and security compliance

Requirements

· 6+ years of professional software development experience

· Strong proficiency in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#/.NET, Python)

· Experience integrating with APIs and enterprise systems

· Familiarity with secure development practices and version control (Git)

· U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with PKI, certificate lifecycle management, or identity/access management

· Familiarity with platforms such as Entrust, Venafi, or Microsoft Certificate Services

· Exposure to CI/CD tooling and automated testing

· Prior work in a federal or regulated environment, DHS experience preferred, * Are you a U.S. Citizen?
