Software Architect

We’re building a multi-layered AI platform with a growing microservice landscape, distributed teams, and a growing feature set. Architectural decisions here have a direct impact on product quality, development velocity, and scalability. You’ll help shape those decisions - and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty.

• Cross-service architecture: API contracts, data flows, service boundaries, and integration patterns
• Technical leadership on complex decisions: database design, caching strategies, async patterns, security architecture
• Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) - transparent and accessible to the whole team
• Architecture-focused code reviews: not just “does it work” but “will it hold up long-term”
• Close collaboration with the engineering lead and team leads
• Help define development standards, patterns, and technical guidelines

• 7+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2-3 years in an architecture role
• You’re not just a whiteboard architect - you can and want to write code yourself
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, primarily AWS
• Experience with modern backend and frontend stacks (TypeScript, Python, REST, GraphQL)
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics clearly

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GCP (Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery)
• Experience with AI/LLM products and their architectural specifics
• Experience in HR tech or similarly regulated domains (GDPR-relevant architectures)
