Requirements

u2022 Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or equivalent to meet requirement.\n \u2022 Experience analyzing VLAN, routing, IP addressing and sub-netting.\n \u2022 Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 appliances, and Splunk systems\n \u2022 Experience troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using at least one of the following routing methods: BGP, ISIS or OSPF, Static routing.\n \u2022 Experience with either service provider or enterprise IP networks using an interface on Cisco (ESR and ASR) and/or Juniper routers.\n \u2022 Experience with ports and protocols.\n \u2022 Currently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.\n \n \nPreferred Qualifications\n \u2022 Equally proficient in Juniper and Cisco configuration, troubleshooting, and design.\n \u2022 Experience with Cisco IOS XR, JUNOS, and Cisco IOS codes.\n \u2022 Pearl or other language scripting capable of running backup confits and other scripting to pull information from Cisco/Juniper routers\n \u2022 IPSEC configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.\n \u2022 MPLS configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.\n \u2022 IPV6 configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.\n \u2022 Security certification and/or knowledge of DDoS and other attack vectors experienced in today’ networks.\n \u2022 Crypto configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience.\n \u2022 Layer 2/3 VPN and Firewall knowledge and experience.\n \u2022 Physical cable plant and wiring experience.\n \u2022 Certifications with major network system vendors such as Cisco are a strong plus.\n \u2022 Excellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation and problem management skills.\n \u2022 Extensive network integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards.\n \u2022 Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts.\n, Requires BS degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. (Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.)\n

This position directly supports the DISA-provided capabilities and services.\n \n The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for a Network Engineer. The Network Engineer will perform sustainment, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense IP networks.\n \n \nPrimary Responsibilities\n \n Responsible for performing the following duties:\n \u2022 Perform engineering tasks related to the design, implementation, and integration of network changes and sustainment of customer systems in an Wide Area Network environment.\n \u2022 Conduct planning and performance of analytical research, design development, and other tasks to align with customer specifications.\n \u2022 Control network systems to ensure 99% or better system uptime and connectivity.\n \u2022 Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.\n \u2022 Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated projects.\n \u2022 Perform a variety of analytical tasks which include hardware and software design and implementation.\n \n
