Job description
- Provide Technology Help Desk services to staff, student and parent customers by responding to incoming requests, researching and documenting resolutions to issues, and escalating issues when appropriate
- Provide assistance, guidance and learning to Tech-Media Assistant
- Participate actively in group problem solving with Technology team members to develop quality solutions to customer and operational issues.
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Google Admin Console according to user onboarding and off boarding procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user account
- Provide basic training to new users, and ongoing training to all staff in the effective operation of district standard classroom and operational technology
- Install, configure and test hardware, operating systems and applications both on-site and using district device and software management and deployment system
- Manage student device deployment, updating, maintenance and collection.
- Manage technology equipment, inventory, storage and maintenance.
- Research, write and publish articles, tip sheets and other communications for users
- Provide assistance for events requiring audio-visual and other technology support.
- Maintain a positive, professional and safe educational and work environment at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum education and experience required to perform adequately in position could reasonably be attained only by completing the following:
- Two-year degree in computer science, management of information systems, or related field or at least two years of experience supporting computer users in a network windows environment, * Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience working in a PK-12 school environment.
- Experience with workstation design and software deployment
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: (Identify licenses/certification required upon hiring: Valid driver’s license
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE WORK
- Knowledge of the laws and guidelines governing data privacy.
- School procedures, protocols, and professional expectations
- Organization and time management for complex tasks and projects
- Effective verbal and written communication across diverse populations
- Computer proficiency for documentation and records
- Problem-solving and critical thinking in complex or non-routine situations
- Positive professional communication and representation of the district
- Ability to travel frequently between district sites.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while following procedures
- Prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple assignments within deadlines
- Demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
- Exercise judgment regarding confidentiality and appropriate information use
- Demonstrate maturity, stability, and professionalism
- Show interest and effectiveness in working with children/adolescents
- Learn and apply new procedures and protocols
