Job description

Supporting users across office, warehouse and manufacturing environments, you’ll play a key role in ensuring business-critical systems remain operational while delivering first-class technical support and contributing to ongoing IT improvement projects.

The Role

As part of a small, collaborative IT team, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing 1st & 2nd Line support to office, warehouse, factory and remote users
  • Managing support tickets from initial diagnosis through to resolution
  • Installing, configuring and supporting desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices and IP telephony
  • Supporting Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune environments
  • Administering Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows Server
  • Troubleshooting networking issues including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi and switching
  • Assisting with IT infrastructure upgrades and business-wide technology projects
  • Delivering excellent customer service to users across multiple sites, This role supports two sites within Greater Manchester, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

Requirements

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least 2 years’ commercial IT Support experience
  • Experience providing 1st and/or 2nd Line Support
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows 11
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • Windows Server
  • DNS & DHCP
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of support tickets

Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

  • VMware or Hyper-V
  • VoIP / IP Telephony
  • Endpoint Security solutions
  • iOS & Android device management
  • Linux or macOS
  • Manufacturing, warehouse or industrial environments
