Job description
We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer/Architect to lead embedded systems development for innovative technology solutions. You will design and optimize firmware architectures, troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality products. Your expertise in firmware, embedded systems, and digital design will drive system performance and reliability in complex projects., * Lead the design, development, and debugging of embedded firmware for various hardware platforms.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational instructions.
- Manage resources to ensure timely delivery of firmware projects.
- Implement updates, enhancements, and programming changes across firmware subsystems such as DSP, EFI drivers, BIOS/UEFI.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize system integration and performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware components using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal analyzers.
- Develop complex algorithms involving signal processing or machine learning within embedded environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in embedded systems programming with strong firmware development skills.
- Extensive knowledge of DSP, EFI drivers, BIOS/UEFI.
- Hands-on FPGA programming experience; knowledge of VHDL or Verilog is advantageous.
- Ability to develop advanced algorithms for signal processing or machine learning applications.
- Experience working with hardware components and troubleshooting tools.
- Proficiency in C++, JavaScript (Node.js), Java, or Visual Basic frameworks is desirable.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, SNMP; experience with Wireshark is a plus.
- Knowledge of database systems like MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server for data logging.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in UML modeling software; familiarity with AWS cloud services is beneficial.
- Experience working in Agile teams with knowledge of testing methodologies including unit and integration testing.
