Job description

  • Build and ship a full MVP: web front end, backend, mobile companion app, and third-party integrations (ETL/middleware).
  • Work primarily through AI-assisted, spec-driven development - turning PRD/user stories into shipped code using agentic coding tools, not line-by-line manual coding.
  • Operate inside a BMAD-style (or equivalent) agentic framework: think in user stories, iterative delivery, and structured spec hand-off to AI agents rather than freeform prompting.
  • Exercise engineering judgment on architecture and trade-offs - including where AI agents can be trusted to execute autonomously and where a human needs to step in.
  • Communicate directly and clearly with a hands-on, technical founder/CTO; no layers of translation needed.
  • Scale hours up or down with project velocity; this may become full-time or convert to a permanent hire.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience - enough to have real judgment, not so senior/expensive that AI-leverage isn’t the point.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on use of agentic coding tools to actually ship product (not just experimentation) - this matters more than raw coding speed.
  • Direct experience with BMAD or a comparable spec-driven, multi-agent agile framework, OR deep familiarity with the underlying mindset (waterfall/agile discipline, user stories, continuous delivery) and genuine willingness to adopt BMAD.
  • Full-stack range: has independently built front end, back end, and at least one integration end-to-end (not siloed to one layer).
  • Proficiency in at least one of: Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go; comfort with Docker, CI/CD, Git.
  • Strong spoken and written English - communication is a stated dealbreaker for this client.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: specs are still evolving; this isn’t a fully-scoped ticket queue., * Mobile development experience, ideally Flutter; Android-only experience is acceptable and valued (industry is Android-heavy) even without iOS.
  • Logistics / supply chain / track-and-trace domain exposure.
  • Cash-in-transit (CIT) industry background - SmartSafes, cash counters, deposit/reconciliation workflows.
  • Fintech integration experience.
  • Prior solo or small-team experience shipping a product from spec to production (vs. large-team feature work).
