Job description
The Senior Concierge Cloud Engineer serves as an elite, high-touch technical partner and advisor-bridging advanced cloud infrastructure with key organizational stakeholders. This role goes beyond traditional engineering to deliver a “white-glove,” consultative service by designing, optimizing, and maintaining highly secure, scalable, and resilient AWS environments tailored to critical business needs. You will act as a trusted advisor who proactively embeds into client and developer workflows to optimize cloud spend, integrate AI-enabled capabilities, mentor engineering teams, and elevate the overall cloud experience.
Requirements
- Proven ability to operate as a trusted technical liaison and build strong stakeholder relationships across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Strong ability to translate complex infrastructure, security, and architectural concepts into clear, actionable guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining highly available AWS environments, including leading seamless deployments with minimal disruption.
- Expert-level AWS knowledge and strong containerization experience, including Kubernetes and container tooling.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation capability using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, or SaltStack, plus GitFlow and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Travis, Jenkins).
- Deep Linux systems administration expertise.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience designing and implementing monitoring/observability solutions using tools such as Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Nagios, IPMon, or similar.
- Familiarity with DevOps, Scrum, and ITIL methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to take incident ownership, perform root-cause analysis, and participate in an on-call rotation focused on reliability.
- Strong documentation habits-able to maintain clear, comprehensive architecture and process documentation.
Nice to Have Skills
- Practical experience designing, integrating, or leveraging AI-assisted development tools and Generative AI capabilities within cloud platforms to improve operational efficiency and developer productivity.
- Experience driving modernization initiatives and continuous improvement through automation and cross-functional innovation.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of overall IT/infrastructure experience.
- 3+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience designing and managing AWS cloud services.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing / consultative / high-touch advisory capacity.
- Preferred: 4+ years architecting and managing production Kubernetes environments.
- Preferred: 8+ years as a Linux Systems Administrator/Engineer.
- Preferred: 6+ years collaborating as a bridge between software development and operations teams.
