Job description

We are seeking a Senior Workday Business Analyst to support an HR Governance Product Team focused on designing and delivering custom applications within the Workday ecosystem. This role will lead business analysis efforts for a critical initiative that is transforming manual HR governance processes into scalable technology solutions using Workday Extend., * Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to deliver HR Governance initiatives.

  • Analyze complex business problems and document business and functional requirements.
  • Break down problem statements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and detailed requirements.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
  • Support the design and delivery of custom applications built using Workday Extend.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in testing efforts, including test planning, UAT coordination, defect management, and validation of business requirements.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead analysis activities independently and provide guidance on solution design and business processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has deep experience gathering requirements, translating complex business problems into actionable solutions, and partnering with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization. This individual must be highly analytical, self-directed, and capable of driving work independently with minimal oversight., * Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • 7+ years of Business Analysis, Product Analysis, Business Execution, or related experience.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience converting business problems into detailed requirements and user stories.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Experience supporting testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Workday Extend experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting or delivering custom application development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Workday architecture, employee data, organizational structures, hierarchy, and security concepts.
  • HR, HR Governance, HR Technology, or HRIS experience.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience supporting HR-related business processes and technology solutions.
