IT/MSP Specialist

• Providing basic remote and “over-the-shoulder support” for end-users
• Configuring, installing, and maintaining a full-stack of typical office technology including cloud, network, server, workstation, phone, remote, line of business, security and disaster recovery technologies

Troubleshooting and research is a large part of this position. You must be comfortable working alone in a self-directed capacity, utilizing online resources and vendor support to bring issues to resolution.

• Industry certifications and/or degree in computer science, computer engineering, information science, management of information technology, or related field
• Previous, professional IT experience, particularly in a managed services environment
• Basic PC hardware and software skills
• Knowledge of standard network technologies
• Experience with any virtualization platform
• Experience with a Microsoft Domain of any size
• Experience with a Microsoft Office 365 tenant of any size

A candidate would be particularly interesting if they had:

• Experience in a solution-developing capacity
• Experience with automation such as imaging, poweshell, and rmm, * professional IT: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CompTIA Certification (Preferred)
• Microsoft certification (Preferred)

Bortz Technology Group is an MSP that helps a variety of small businesses choose, implement, and maintain Microsoft-based information technology. We are seeking professionals to join our small technical services team. Work is both in our office and at our clients’ sites, primarily in Southeast Michigan.
