Job description
Our recruiting agency is partnering with a federal client to identify experienced Java Full Stack Developers to support the development and modernization of mission-critical enterprise applications. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale government systems that impact millions of users while leveraging modern Java technologies, Angular, cloud platforms, and Agile development practices., The ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer with experience designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable web applications across both front-end and back-end technologies. This position supports enterprise modernization initiatives and requires collaboration within cross-functional Agile teams., * Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and Angular.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.
- Develop responsive user interfaces utilizing Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues and implement performance improvements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support Agile/Scrum development processes and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Assist in application modernization efforts, including cloud adoption, automation, and DevSecOps best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Strong experience developing enterprise applications with Java.
- Experience with Angular (Angular 12+ preferred).
- Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Git and modern source control practices.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Docker and Kubernetes
- OAuth, JWT, or enterprise authentication frameworks
- Automated testing frameworks
- DevSecOps practices
- Enterprise application modernization projects
- Government or other highly regulated enterprise environments

- Hybrid work schedule.
- Onsite presence required approximately 75% of the time in Woodlawn, Maryland.
