Job description

Our recruiting agency is partnering with a federal client to identify experienced Java Full Stack Developers to support the development and modernization of mission-critical enterprise applications. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale government systems that impact millions of users while leveraging modern Java technologies, Angular, cloud platforms, and Agile development practices., The ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer with experience designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable web applications across both front-end and back-end technologies. This position supports enterprise modernization initiatives and requires collaboration within cross-functional Agile teams., * Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and Angular.

  • Build scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces utilizing Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and implement performance improvements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support Agile/Scrum development processes and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Assist in application modernization efforts, including cloud adoption, automation, and DevSecOps best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Strong experience developing enterprise applications with Java.
  • Experience with Angular (Angular 12+ preferred).
  • Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Git and modern source control practices.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • OAuth, JWT, or enterprise authentication frameworks
  • Automated testing frameworks
  • DevSecOps practices
  • Enterprise application modernization projects
  • Government or other highly regulated enterprise environments
