Job description
Warrior Tribe Consulting (WTC) is a federal staffing and recruiting firm supporting the Social Security Administration’’s (SSA) Cobalt Program in Woodlawn, MD. We’‘ve been engaged to fill specifically allocated Java/Angular Full Stack Developer roles as part of SSA’’s ongoing enterprise application modernization initiative. This is a federal GS-13/14/15 position with SSA - a great opportunity to break into the federal space with long-term stability and growth.

Role Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise full-stack web applications supporting SSA’’s benefits, eligibility, and case management systems
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Develop responsive, modular front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript
- Integrate front-end and back-end components with relational databases and enterprise data sources
- Participate in Agile/SAFe delivery ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design sessions
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices for continuous delivery
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across full-stack applications
- Document system architecture, APIs, and technical decisions for federal compliance and audit purposes
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional full-stack development experience with Java and Angular (14+ years preferred for GS-14/15 consideration)
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs, Maven/Gradle, SQL
- Hands-on experience with Angular 12+, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5/CSS3
- Experience with Microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) preferred
- Experience with large-scale enterprise or federal/government systems (HHS, CMS, SSA, or similar preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in application modernization, system integration, or API design
- Strong understanding of federal IT security, compliance, and change-control processes
- Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (equivalent specialized experience considered)
- U.S. Citizenship required
Background & Suitability Requirements:
- This is a federal government role requiring a background investigation, fingerprinting, and drug test as a condition of employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
- Candidates must pass all federal suitability screening prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications (GS-14/15):
- Prior leadership of development teams or technical leads on full-stack modernization programs
- Experience with Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks in a federal environment
- PMP, ITIL, or related certifications a plus
