Job description
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled DataCenter H&F Support professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the hardware and facilities infrastructure within our data centers. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of our IT infrastructure, including server systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of technology infrastructure engineering, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing automation solutions to streamline operations., * Monitor and maintain data center hardware, including servers, storage systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for hardware failures, system outages, and network disruptions across distributed systems.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Shell Scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable system architectures that incorporate virtualization, containerization, and automation best practices.
- Utilize IT monitoring tools to proactively identify issues related to server health, network performance, or system security.
- Support system troubleshooting efforts by analyzing logs, diagnosing root causes, and implementing solutions in operating systems like Linux and Windows.
- Contribute to the development of system design documentation and participate in Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes for infrastructure projects.
- Maintain comprehensive records of hardware configurations, incident reports, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience with VMware virtualization technologies and server virtualization concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration (including UNIX-based systems), Windows Server environments, and operating systems fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS and Azure; familiarity with APIs for integration purposes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell or Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as network infrastructure (VPNs), server administration, SQL databases (including Oracle), and computer management tools.
- Understanding of distributed systems architecture and technology infrastructure engineering principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues using IT monitoring tools and technical troubleshooting support techniques.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines is a plus; experience with Java development or SQL databases is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to system troubleshooting in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams while adhering to SDLC processes.
