Job description

Install, configure, and maintain hardware components such as servers, networking equipment, and storage systems within the data center environment
Perform routine system troubleshooting and diagnostics using IT monitoring tools to identify and resolve hardware or software issues promptly
Manage server virtualization platforms including VMware and other hypervisors to optimize resource utilization and system performance
Assist in automating routine tasks through scripting languages like Shell Scripting or Python to improve operational efficiency
Support cloud infrastructure deployments on platforms such as AWS, ensuring secure connectivity via VPNs and proper network configurations
Conduct system design reviews and implement improvements for distributed systems and overall IT infrastructure stability
Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to operating systems (Linux, Windows, UNIX) and network infrastructure

Requirements

Proven experience with server administration, virtualization (VMware, Server Virtualization), and Linux/Windows operating systems
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including network infrastructure, APIs, and cloud services such as AWS
Familiarity with automation tools, scripting languages (Shell Scripting), and DevOps practices for system management and deployment
Ability to perform technical troubleshooting support across diverse environments involving system design, system troubleshooting, and engineering troubleshooting
Understanding of computer science fundamentals related to distributed systems, system architecture, and computer management
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in diagnosing hardware or software issues
Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), or AWS certifications are a plus
