We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Semiconductor Technician Teacher in a High School to inspire and educate the next generation of skilled technicians in the rapidly evolving semiconductor industry. - Incorporate a variety of instructional methods including online instruction, classroom training, and hands-on demonstrations to enhance learning engagement.
- Teach technical skills such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding, automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical knowledge relevant to semiconductor manufacturing.
- Utilize educational technologies such as Blackboard and computers to facilitate effective online instruction and course management.
- Design assessments and practical exercises that evaluate student understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards.
- Provide mentorship and support to students from diverse cultural backgrounds, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with industry partners to develop curriculum that reflects current manufacturing practices and technological advancements.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and course completion in compliance with institutional policies.
- Stay current with industry trends by participating in professional development opportunities related to semiconductor technology and technical education.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within manufacturing or construction environments with hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding, automotive repair, aircraft maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing or related technical fields.
- Prior classroom training or higher education teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with adult education principles and curriculum development for post-secondary students.
- Strong technical proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), educational technologies like Blackboard, and computers for instructional purposes.
- Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds to foster an inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Knowledge of safety standards including OSHA regulations relevant to manufacturing and technical training environments.
- Background in course design focusing on technical skills instruction such as automotive diagnostics or maintenance operations (MRO).
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively both in person and through online platforms.
