Caregiver (BI Specialist) in Group Homes

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide hands-on support to residents in a home setting, assisting them with daily activities and helping them gain greater independence. Responsibilities include teaching life skills, supporting community engagement, documenting progress, and creating a safe, positive living environment., * Provide quality care and support for participants in a residential setting.

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including:
• Meal preparation and cooking
• Housekeeping and cleaning
• Laundry
• Personal grooming and hygiene support
• Shopping and budgeting skills
• Administer medications as authorized (QMAP certification required; training provided if needed).
• Maintain accurate participant records and complete documentation using electronic systems.
• Support participants in achieving individual goals and tracking progress.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in home-based and community activities.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude while building supportive relationships.
• Effectively manage and respond to challenging situations when they arise.

• Previous caregiving experience (1 year preferred).
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Colorado QMAP Certification.
• CPR and First Aid Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Colorado Food Handler’s License.
