Staff Pickleball Design Engineer

• Be responsible for the cooperative design process of assigned products/projects in order to meet company objectives as well as product/project objectives. These responsibilities are inclusive of:

o Creating the overall design of the assigned product or component. In some cases, oversees the design coordination of several subcomponents. o Preparing and properly maintaining the CAD design file, including technical supervision over any other related engineering and documentation efforts related to the project. o Jointly responsible for product specification and initial work instruction authorship with the assigned project engineer. o Interfacing and coordinating with all applicable disciplines, both within Engineering and the company, typically (but not limited to): Management, Marketing, Paddle Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Safety, Environmental, Project Management, Research and Testing, Product Development, Quality Assurance.

• Be responsible for understanding and following all pertinent company and departmental policies, procedures and protocols.
• Assist other Design Engineers, as requested.
• Stay current within area of expertise relative to the market.
• Be required to travel both domestic and internationally.

• Bachelor’s Degree from a properly accredited college or university in an Engineering or Science discipline, plus a minimum 2 years’ experience (preferably within the sporting goods industry); OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational and team skills with the ability to gain consensus.
• Proven ability to coordinate a moderate level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
• Demonstrated effective leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in and manage, focus, and lead cross-disciplinary business meetings.
• Computer literacy: High proficiency using MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint)
• Mastery of Creo design software (preferred) or other mainstream CAD design software.

• Familiarity with PING, Inc., and a high level of familiarity with the game of pickleball and the pickleball industry.
