Unit Testing System Configuration Epic Cadence

Job description

This is not a production support role. Instead, you’ll serve as a project-based consultant responsible for assessing current scheduling workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, redesigning business processes, configuring Epic Cadence, and supporting implementation from discovery through go-live.

The ideal candidate combines strong Epic build experience with business analysis skills and enjoys partnering with operational stakeholders to deliver meaningful workflow improvements.

What You’ll Do

As the Epic Cadence Analyst, you’ll lead the assessment, redesign, configuration, testing, and implementation of Epic Cadence scheduling workflows by:

  • Assessing current Epic Cadence scheduling workflows, system configuration, and operational processes
  • Partnering with Operations, IT, Compliance, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify workflow improvement opportunities
  • Performing workflow analysis and documenting current-state and future-state business processes
  • Designing and implementing optimized scheduling workflows within Epic Cadence
  • Configuring Epic applications, user roles, security, and system settings
  • Developing and executing testing plans, including unit testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Creating workflow documentation, configuration specifications, and implementation artifacts
  • Supporting training efforts by partnering with instructional design and operational teams
  • Assisting with go-live planning, deployment, and post-production stabilization
  • Monitoring adoption, resolving workflow issues, and recommending continuous improvements
  • Supporting Epic native reporting and dashboard enhancements as needed, This is a hybrid consulting engagement with project-based onsite travel during key implementation milestones.

Candidates should expect onsite work during:

  • 2-3 consecutive weeks for the initial discovery, assessment, and workflow evaluation phase
  • 1-2 consecutive weeks during go-live support
  • Additional onsite visits may be required for project milestones or stakeholder workshops.

The remainder of the engagement may be performed remotely, based on project needs.

Security & Travel Requirements

This position supports a secure healthcare environment.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Pass all required background investigations and security clearance requirements
  • Work onsite in secure healthcare facilities when required
  • Travel between designated project locations as needed
  • Comply with all organizational security, safety, and data privacy policies

Requirements

  • Epic Cadence Certification (Required)
  • Experience as an Epic Cadence Analyst or Epic Application Coordinator
  • Hands-on Epic Cadence configuration and build experience
  • Experience performing workflow analysis and business process optimization
  • Experience leading or supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives
  • Experience developing and executing testing plans, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Strong stakeholder facilitation and business analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Referrals Certification
  • Experience supporting healthcare operations or large enterprise organizations
  • Experience supporting Epic go-live activities
  • Experience developing Epic native reports and dashboards
  • Experience creating workflow documentation, training materials, and user guides
