Job description

We are hiring a junior to mid-level Full Stack Web Developer to help build and improve our customer facing website and ecommerce platforms. This position includes both frontend and backend development, with a stronger emphasis on creating polished JavaScript user experiences and supporting them with Ruby on Rails.

You will work on customer-facing and internal tools, including our website, storefront, checkout, and administrative functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve frontend features in JavaScript.
  • Create clean, responsive, user-friendly interfaces matching designs provided by our in-house designers.
  • Contribute to backend development in Ruby on Rails.
  • Deliver reliable, well-tested features across the stack.
  • Debug issues and improve application stability.
  • Collaborate with a small team on product and platform improvements.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong JavaScript skills and experience building production web features.
  • Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails or a comparable backend framework.
  • Comfort contributing to both frontend and backend code.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to meet the required hybrid schedule: four days per week in the West Valley City office.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with React.
  • Experience using Ruby on Rails in production.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce applications.
  • Experience with APIs, relational databases, background jobs, and/or Docker.
  • Experience with Spree or Avo ruby gems.
