Job description
We are hiring a junior to mid-level Full Stack Web Developer to help build and improve our customer facing website and ecommerce platforms. This position includes both frontend and backend development, with a stronger emphasis on creating polished JavaScript user experiences and supporting them with Ruby on Rails.
You will work on customer-facing and internal tools, including our website, storefront, checkout, and administrative functionality.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve frontend features in JavaScript.
- Create clean, responsive, user-friendly interfaces matching designs provided by our in-house designers.
- Contribute to backend development in Ruby on Rails.
- Deliver reliable, well-tested features across the stack.
- Debug issues and improve application stability.
- Collaborate with a small team on product and platform improvements.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong JavaScript skills and experience building production web features.
- Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails or a comparable backend framework.
- Comfort contributing to both frontend and backend code.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Ability to meet the required hybrid schedule: four days per week in the West Valley City office.
Nice to Have
- Experience with React.
- Experience using Ruby on Rails in production.
- Familiarity with ecommerce applications.
- Experience with APIs, relational databases, background jobs, and/or Docker.
- Experience with Spree or Avo ruby gems.
