Job description

This notable streaming client is seeking a meticulous, highly organized Programming Associate to help expand the reach and visibility of our growing podcast lineup. In this position, you will assist in managing the distribution of top-tier podcast content across platforms, working directly with content generated by renowned Sports and News teams.

The ideal candidate excels in cross-functional collaboration and brings sharp project management, communication, and analytical capabilities to the table. You will partner closely with podcast producers, programming leads, and key partners across the org, CBS News, and CBS Sports to spot distribution avenues, monitor streaming metrics, and leverage data to boost audience engagement across platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Upload full-length podcast episodes directly to the platform.
  • Team up with content producers to format and publish video clips, including standard VOD and vertical formats.
  • Sync daily with product teams and core stakeholders to analyze content performance.
  • Align with marketing teams to uncover and execute promotional strategies.
  • Maintain daily touchpoints with internal teams to guarantee seamless publishing workflows.
  • Monitor performance analytics and report insights back to primary stakeholders and team members.
  • Deliver regular progress reports during syncs with production, marketing, editorial, and sales leads.
  • Coordinate backend setup with the team to launch new podcast show pages and curated playlists.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience within the digital media landscape.
  • Prior background as a Production Assistant or in a closely related role.
  • Solid grasp of the podcasting industry and current audio trends.
  • Sharp editorial judgment, with a knack for pulling engaging short-form clips from full episodes.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed (select nights, weekends, and holidays).
  • Familiarity with CBS News and CBS Sports properties, including sports rights (NFL, College Football, College Basketball, Golf, UFC, WNBA, Soccer).
