Job description

Create and publish engaging social media content for station brands.
Identify community events, festivals, and promotional opportunities where the stations should have a presence.
Represent the stations at promotional events, and community appearances.
Produce and edit audio for on-air use, including promos, commercials, and other programming elements.
Be available for voice tracking on air shifts
Assist with various programming, promotional, and administrative projects as assigned.

Requirements

Sun Broadcasting is seeking a reliable, motivated Programming Assistant to help support the day-to-day operations of our programming department. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys radio, social media, audio production, and being involved in the local community. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works well independently while following the direction and strategy established by station management., * Reliable, dependable, and highly organized.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable interacting with listeners, clients, and community partners.
On air, basic audio production and social media experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform frequent computer and keyboard use.
Ability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, and work in confined spaces with equipment.
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
Sufficient manual dexterity and visual acuity to handle technical components and read screens or documentation.
Ability to travel between work areas or locations as needed.
